I'd like to announce the release of Strecks 1.0 beta 4. Strecks is a set
of extensions to Struts aimed at Java 5 users aimed at streamlining
development of Struts application with features such as POJO actions,
interceptors, dependency injections and data binding. For more details

Strecks 1.0 beta 4 can be downloaded from

This is expected to be the last beta release before Strecks 1.0 final.
The main changes in this recent release involve upgrading samples to use
by default Struts 1.3.5 by default, although Struts 1.2.x is still
supported. Other changes include the implementation of a module-specific
strecks.properties file, the action bean lifecycle methods @InitMethod
and @CloseMethod, an upgrade of library dependency versions, and a few
minor bug fixes.
