I don't want to derail the thread, but speaking of small linux systems I wonder if anyone has tried Lemote's notebook or desktop which come with Linux installed. It uses Loongcon CPUs, which are only RISC, but should be adequate for most purposes.
What drew me to it is that it offers a way to escape the CPU backdoors that I assume are present in Intel and AMD processors. Haines Brown
