When I was working on this for Webconverger, fcitx was the best option. I did manage to build it without a crap ton of bullshit, but then I lost interest trying to integrate it with Debian Wheezy.
I need to redo Webconverger in Archlinux and bring fcitx back and support CJK. Kind regards,
