I like it a lot too - the first few pages should be exactly like that (just marketing). Top links look fine to me (though still arguing with myself if it should read "Download Latest Version" vs. "Download Tapestry 5.2.0" I'm also clearly in favor of some social or buzz features in the front page

While I agree that a new design should be appealing to first-time users, we shouldn't neglect returning users searching for specific pieces of information. I like the overall new design but I'd put a little bit more emphasis on the links to documentation, downloads, javadocs, etc. Great Job! I
