I put up some initial build profile results on the Wiki. The top
three time sinks are: 33% C/C++ compile, 27% dmake/build.pl,
22% dependencies (dpcc). So about 50% of our time is spent
on build or build related activities. Build time on a fast 4GB
machine is 17h. More details here:
I have gotten all
the way to running dmake and starting the build. I am getting an error on
the Mozilla part of the build. I downloaded and placed the zip files and
it is getting a strange error on executing the script file. I am using the
downloaded zip file for the source for 2.0.1. I
I found the problem, I had --with-psdk-home="cygdrive/g/Program Files/Microsoft
Platform SDK", note the missing / in front of cygdrive. Now I have the problem
of the wrong version of the PSDK with a problem number 49856. I will now have
to look that up and try to fix it the build.

Usually if you post to one list only (tools is best for
this) there is less chance
to be flamed ;)
Thanks for the help. I applied the patch and it compiled
successfully. Will try to post in tools list from now
onwards...
