The Launcher does not build because we removed the AppleJavaExtensions jar.
Anybody have answers for those questions I raised in the above JIRA issue?

There were two nonexistent tests that were being referenced. The tests still
fail on some runs (intermittently), but it is due to latency during
writes/subsequent reads, not because of a problem in the portal.
