There is a feature called "SAML2 based Single Sign-On authenticator" in
[2]. Isn't it what you are looking for?
There are 3 versions of it. 4.2.0, 4.2.1 and 4.2.2. I tried installing them
in ESB 4.8.1. 4.2.2 can't be installed due to some dependency problem. But
4.2.1 can be installed
Not sure about BPS, but ESB-4.8.1 contains the SAML2 SSO Authenticator
feature by default. It is also found in the p2 repo you have mentioned
above. Only thing the nested categorization in the Feature Management UI
seems to be not perfect.
