All said and done we had enough discussion on this point for many months
now. As far as I know, 208 is the PR which community/people have so far
used mostly and successfully (at least me and whoever I introduced to 208
for SparkR support). I thought it was going to be merged a long time ago.

Hi,
I was just trying some of these. Looks like with this solution there would

Hi All,
I asked this question before that how to ensure different notebooks can run
queries/statements in parallel.
And I got an answer that a PR tries to address that.
Can anyone please point me to that PR ?

Very similar is my experience too.
Could run PR 208 with least effort. And so far I am very successful to use
it to create demonstrations covering end to end machine learning use cases
in Zeppelin (showcasing how data can be shared across scala, SparkR, R
easily where data preparation/model

Hi Prasad,
I also have similar opinion like Moon on the storing the permission.
However your design so far looks reasonably good though.
Here are my few comments/suggestions -
1. I do agree with you that Interpreter Authorization is complex. But the
examples you have provided, if I'm not

One issue I found with the shell interpreter is secuity issue. The user who
is using the shell interpreter from the Zeppelin has the same security
permission as of the user who has started the Zeppelin process. So the user
from Zepeelin can run any executable, see the data etc.
For that reason I

Surely I vote for the same. Zeppelin is already very popular in different
quarts of the Spark/Big Data user group. High time to graduate it to top
level.
However, I shall suggest to have the support for R and Authentication added
to Zeppelin before that. These are the supports most of the people
it would be great to see you there.

Hi Moon,
From the exception looks like it is trying to test Spark in a standalone
mode and it is not able to register the master process
Congratulations Moon and team !!!

@elbamos found it working great in all scenarios involving SparkR, KnitR
and various plots/charts. Great work !!!
