Kinda. But I want to provide control over the non-obvious permissions
that we do not expose in the Settings (i.e. mobilenetwork, tcp-socket..).

Hi,
I have finished my first prototype of the permission app: I want to
allow people to shoot them in the foot and disable all kinds of
permissions that we wouldn't include prompts for in the settings app.
(I get that. But I also like the feeling of control :-))
The icons are shabby, the UX is we
There was a typo the devtools did not report.
I wrote "app.manifestUrl" instead of "app.manifestURL". The snippet from
MDN I started with had this typo, so I edited the article as well.

I'm not sure what you mean by "access mode".
Hi Frederick,
You are not using the access mode when calling permissions.get() and I
think you need to. Take a look at what the settings app is doing to get
the app's permissions.

Some additional notes:
Here's what I did, for others to reproduce always getting an "unknown":
https://github.com/mozfreddyb/permissions-app/blob/master/js/app.js#L26
I *do* get a proper return value (e.g. "allow) when I execute the code
from the debugger (app-manager).

Hi,
I am sketching a permissions control app. The app is meant for privacy
nuts like myself, who are willing to shoot their foot knowing that
disabling certain permissions might cause some apps not to work :)
Thus, the app will list all permissions. Even the ones we consider not
to be very useful
Hi,
I was working on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=913706 ,
this is a bug about fixing mochitests for b2g, and I noticed there
that after changing permissions, I needed to reload an iframe,
otherwise I would get test failures.
Why is that necessary?
I noticed that more often, where

This is aiming to be an exhaustive list of permissions for basecamp, and has
all of the mappings to what the default value for the permission
I'm looking at the document here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Akyz_Bqjgf5pdENVekxYRjBTX0dCXzItMnRyUU1RQ0E#gid=0
Which covers the permissions available by application type. Is that current and
accurate?
I'm working on security documentation for Firefox OS, and would like to be
