Now my device is stuck on the thundersoft boot screen, it doesnt boot,
I encountered this at some point last week and solved my issue after some
tinkering, but don't remember exactly how...

Dale, you shallow flashed your own gaia/gecko or you used pvtbuilds? and
make sure you are flashing the flame-kk images, not flame.flame builds were
made for JB, and will brick if you mix up the two.

QA is currently using the full flash option (images, not gaia+gecko) to
avoid brokenness due to gonk weirdness. Maybe give that a try next time?
