Hi Andrew,

I've used the Bundle release on a Mac, without problems.

Just unpack the bundle somewhere, and then add a new Apache Tomcat 6 runtime to
your server configuration in eclipse. Configure the runtime to use the apache
folder from the bundle.
Then create a new Server that uses your newly defined runtime. Double-Click the
new server in the "servers view" to open its configuration.
In the configuration change:
- the timeout settings (magnolia can take a long time to start up the first
times)
- under "Server Locations" choose the setting "Use tomcat installation" to use
the webapps installed in the bundle directly
- under "Open Launch Configuration" you will probably also want to give
magnolia a bit more RAM by setting the VM-Arguments (something like " -Xms512m
-Xmx1024m -XX:PermSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m -XX:NewSize=64m")

After that you should be ready to go!

Regards from Vienna,

Richard

Hi Jan,
thanks for the reply. I am running on a mac (snow lep). I already have
tomcat installed and I'm launching it from MyEclipse. That being the case I
have been using the war files. None of the wars I tried had webapps
MagnoliaAuthor or MagnoliaPublic. Although I was able to use AdminCentral.

Should I just unpack the bundle tar.gz and then copy the MagnoliaAuthor &
MagnoliaPublic webapps over to my install dir?

Please advise,

Andrew
