Crash reports have a field called "WinSock LSP". In a crash report on
crash-stats.mozilla.org, this field is shown in both the "Details" tab
(which is the most important tab) and the "Metadata" tab (where all raw
crash report fields are always shown).

I do use it - but LSPs obviously cause the networking team more trouble
than other folks.
I have no objection if the UI just wants to move it to somewhere less
obtrusive though - as long as its there.
