This message is to clarify the status of the latest NSS releases. We'll shortly announce NSS 3.16.2.3
The motivation is to support the Firefox 31.x extended support release (ESR) branch. The NSS 3.16.2.x releases still contain the set of root CA certificates used by Firefox 31 ESR. NSS 3.16.3 and newer contain an updated list of root CA certificates with several legacy roots removed. Users of NSS 3.16.3/4/5/6 should upgrade to the latest NSS 3.17.x release.
