We would like to monitor the kannel and in case of failure start to restart it. We are doing the monitor using Monit. Will it be correct to do define in monit 2 separate services: * bearerbox * smsbox The smsbox services will be defined as depended on the bearerbox, so the startup order and the restart will be in correct order. Meaning that we start & stop the process in depend and not with the kannel startup script. The reason we can't use the Kannel start script , is the fact that monit can monitor a single PID .
