If I enable 'Override Geany keybindings' in Preferences-Terminal, and then
disable it again, I can't use Alt+letter to open menus, nor Ctrl+Q to quit,
until I close Geany and restart it.
Is this a known issue? I couldn't find an earlier discussion of it.
rent Lua-powered features (some of which involve multiple scripts), with a
7th to be uploaded soon, and it's easy.

You can find the scripts at

Is it feasible to implement this in Geany?

Any feedback?

Possibly, and thanks for the pointer, but I'm not really aiming to produce a
full plugin. Lua scripts are much quicker and easier :). One file, no
compilation, just save to a directory and run the
I'm thinking of producing a Lua script to give a vim-style interface to Geany.
Anyone interested?
My thoughts at this point are that you'd invoke the script using a keyboard
shortcut, probably Escape, and it would then grab all of your keystrokes and
recognise (a subset of) vim commands, until
@vadim: Oh, what you want is a sidebar that will show all files in the current
project, whether or not they are open! That sounds like a good idea for a
plugin.
You don't need to change the 'close tab' behavior. You just need to add a
sidebar that scans the project's base directory and shows al
I don't like this suggested feature. Having lots of tabs open is often
unwieldy, and it slows down Geany's loading time, so having to manually remove
documents from the session would be a pain.
If you like having every file in the project open at once, then why would you
close them? If not, the

Yeah, I only recently took a proper look at the Lua plugin myself. There don't
seem to be many scripts published for people to use; wiki.geany.org is the only

Hi, Steven.
I love the idea of snap-open. I've been using 'Find in Files' as a clumsy
workaround (search for any text and filter by filename), but it's not ideal...
I've drafted a quick Lua script that does a basic job of this, and uploaded to

Yes, toolbar integration is an advantage. Adding behind-the-scenes behavior
works fine in Lua, but adding things to the interface really needs C.

OK, new versions have been uploaded with copyright notices and descriptions.
I also added support for Opendiff to the Compare script, and adjusted the Hex

I'm thinking of adding support for self-contained hex editors

I have written Lua scripts that partially provide the functionality of the
Notepad++ Compare and Hex Edit plugins. Both are uploaded to wiki.geany.org.
Any feedback is welcome. Please treat these files as GPL, version 2.0 or later
(although I haven't yet added an actual copyright notice to them)
