On an xo-1, using the official 12.1 from download.laptop.org as a base, I am
able to successfully yum install firefox with the 2 new dependencies
(fedora-bookmarks, xulrunner) and 7 updates - mostly nss* modules). FF works
fine with the Google and Gmail sites.

Firefox has a lot of dependencies, it has to bring the whole xulrunner thing
back, so the out of space may be disk, not memory

I use a startech usb2106s. I didn't have to do anything except pug it in and turn on to xo :-), it just worked. It also works on my mac, my fedora box, the xo 1.5, and yes even windows. I di have to download the driver for OSX mavericks and win 8.It cost $21.00Lsusb on the xo-1 saysBus 002 device

Potentially silly question. Once the xo-1 is successfully attached to an AP,
does the mesh beaconing on those three channels on that box then potentially
stop?
I had my twelve xo -1s successfully attach to an AP, and run internet reliably,
concurrently . Powering up a virgin non-ap attached x

I have a lead on someone to help in testing and building. However, he's an rhel dude.Does anyone have experience in doing oob, and/or loading sugar on this o/s? If so, any hints, pitfalls, or should the usual yum installs be happy?Supposedly the release of rhel he's using now is public beta of v7

All good for performance testing from a developer point of view. However, from a user experience point of view, taking an XO 1.0 running an old version and replacing it with an XO1.75 running a new version and seeing performance decrease I can be 'interesting'. In fact, I would argue that it is a n
