Lang pack just replaces entire contents of each MO, not merge
contents from multiple MOs. Sayamindu 's proposal is about how to
replace MO. So uninstalling seems OK.
Sayamindu, could you confirm my understanding?

ng non-XO platform could make use of lang pack.
Will the proposed technology work on non-XO platforms like "sugar
on stick" or Ubuntu?
+ Could you explain proposed directory structure and file layout that
the lang pack will install, so that we could validate the design with

My understanding about the event was you discuss roadmap on future
feature and scope of next major release.
By this postponement how will your planning and development schedule
be affected?

Thank you,
vironment. That would makes testing and translation work
difficult for many of occasional contributors.
It would be nice if OLPC or SugarLabs can *regularly* build
LiveCD/USB with persitent storage support without 3DNOW requirement.

Hi.
You could review

your activity.
hope this helps.

I am not firmware-savvy but: what prevent windows from booting with
V1 Firmware and how do they resolved it? (that is Ivan mentioned in
his blog article?)
What I would like to understand is security risk the change will
give users of our linux stack. Don't we real
;t support downward compatibility like 3.9/3.10 to
3.8/olpc. so I think it might not be easy for such problem to get
serious investigation by developers. It would be very nice if you can
reproduce it within OLPC image.
/Korakurider
For this thread, maybe etoys list would be better fit that devel
needed even if
OLPC no longer integrate activities to base build and support them.
Assuming you will permanently stop pulling activities to joyride ,
will OLPC have replacement (for either activities "blessed by OLPC" or
community), or are you implying community need to
will OLPC change their mind and to take responsibility to port and
support them (on windows at least)?

Ex-preinstalled activities are now called "unsupported activities" :-<
But I don't get what really changed here, other than the fact those
will not be preinstalled.
I don't think that OLPC had been supporting them and stopped it.

I am thinking about some activities that are rpm based , like Etoys.
Are you implying that Etoys needs to be converted to .xo bundle
for update.1 release ?

Let me ask basic question about the feature:
How will you developers who are triaging tickets use that votes?
I think the process to handle votes should be defined if we really want use it.
And would you suggest people to vote actively ?
