Here's a a dmesg dump of the things-going-insane on my ubuntu laptop, from
eth1 getting ifconfig'ed up to crash (I had to do a full-on
hold-down-the-power-button reset...).

today i updated my b4 to the latest firmware, then installed ship-2 via
usb, then olpc-updated to the latest joyride build that i could find.
[the impetus for the updates, today, beyond the RTC bug, was that the
wireless on the B4 didn't seem to want to come on. Empty neighborhood

How is this intended to interact with the mesh connectivity intended for
the laptops? I'm of the understanding that the mesh being powered and on
is more or less a baseline design feature of the XO-as-platform.
