It's better to run "rpmbuild" to make the RPM. See:

Find the file “olpc-2.6.tar.bz2” inside and decompressing it.
I get into linux-2.6.30 document and cp the kernel-xo1.5-custom.config to
.config.
Type #make menuconfig to choose same option what I need and save.
Finally, type #make vmlinux to produce vmlinux
