Provided that:
1) Open MPI exposes MPI_LOGICAL{1|2|4|8}, and they are not (AFAIK)
listed in the MPI standard (I cannot found them in MPI-2.2)
2) The MPI-2.2
Ah, my bad. I was looking at a 1.4 man page and trying it out on a 1.3
build.
Trying 1.4, both -report-pid and -report-uri work as advertised on the
1.4 man page.
Looking at the 1.3 man page, I see neither option listed.
So, all is fine. Mea culpa.

Some time ago Mellanox proposed design that should improve current
support for heterogeneous clusters (see Design.txt).The design was
accepted by IB vendors, and now we propose patch that adds a
heterogeneous cluster support. The path leaves one issue that we do not
resolve
