No problem-o. We have a process for moving stuff from the trunk to a
closed release branch (like the v1.3 branch) called Changset Move
Requests (CMRs) -- see this wiki page:

I have attached the patch which would apply the corrections for ALPS
(ras) to version 1.3 that I checked into the trunk some time ago. I
would like for this to be applied to the v1.3 tree. Thanks.
