I don’t think it is possible to process a REFER locally like you describe
without being a B2BUA. The two legs of the resulting call would be separate SIP
calls, bridged by OpenSIPS. That is a B2BUA!

I see now. The commit you linked was against another branch. This fix was only
backported to 2.4 after the 2.4.6 release. I will test with that.

With what we have so far it is too less data to get to a conclusion
then it is not just traced
twice it was actually sent twice. But what scenario would cause retransmission
of a hop-by-hop ACK? I can’t think of one. So it still seems strange. But it
may be a symptom of the issue and not a cause.
