Good. You went right way.
But you also need to add the name of this entry into the list of 'inet entries'
$inetkbds in /etc/X11/xkb/rules/xfree

Perhaps i didn't put my question properly :-(
I m basically looking for some "generic embedded" X. I "had"
those nano's and micro's in my mind before asking the question.
