Besides I have to say, that this kind of scrambling can be done by any
Axapta-Programmer himself.
Tobias' statement has also to be kept in mind - Axapta's power is the
possibility to read the code.

For Axapta 3.0 SP4 it is Windows Server 2003 w SP1.
Look for the paper which is talking about hardware sizing.

Hello!
Is there someone out there who has ever made a connection between two
different Axapta-Installations (yes, 2 DBs and 2 Appl-Folders), to establish
some kind of data exchange.

Hi Samuel,
I think the answer is dependent on what kind of data you want to replicate.
So I would say, it will definitely be possible to replicate the data, BUT I
would also say, you really have to think about why and what you want to
replicate.

Hi ?!

I would say the correct answer is d. If you have an AOS then everybody
should use it, no matter if fat or thin client.

Hi Daniel,
I think the problem is, that very much functionality, which is placed
outside Axapta, but used by Axapta, wants to be controlled with COM-objects.
So I think this is a general problem for your environment, isn't it?
I am interested why you don't want to use COM?

Hi!
We want to install a new server for our customer and want to install Windows
Server 2003 and SQL 2000 SP3a.
The customer is using Axapta 2.3 with SP3, in 2-tier mode.
Are there any problems? Anything to think about?

Hi Jesper!
Your database is already caseINsensitive (the ..._CI_... in
Latin1_genarel_CP1_CI_AS means CaseInsensitive).

I can only speak for MSSQL:
If you don't establish a system dns, Axapta will do for you, so it just does
some work for you, but it's the same if you use the datasource-field in your
axconfig or not. There's no performance advantage.
For oracle, there are big differences, but I don't know
This seems ok to me.
Which code do you execute in your changecompany-clause?
Where did you instantiate your table variables?

Hi Jens,
I don't know which text-field you mean, but most of the text-fields in
Axapta can only have ONE format, e.g. everything bold, or nothing.

Hi Willie!
I only know, that it's some kind of connector to put data from or to Axapta.
Reminds me of MS Biztalk.
Why do you care about that?
What do you need?

How about that:
Write a class (MyClass) with a method which only returns your container,
e.g.
container parmMyContainer(container _myContainer = myContainer)
{
return [value1, value2,...];
}
Then send this class within your args to your form, e.g.
Args args = new Args(NameOfYourClass);
Hi,
did you take care of the filepaths you are using? You should use UNC-paths
(e.g. \\Axapta-Server\myFolder)
Because if you use e.g. c:\myTempFolder as the path in your code, it's a
difference if the code is executed on the AOS or if executed on the client.
The path may exist on your

Hi Gerhard,
there are a lot of Axapta-Installations using Citrix as Terminalserver out
there. Also the good old Windows Terminal Services are commonly used,
especially our customers are using it (because it's cheaper).
I heard about some problems with Citrix and Axapta (read in this
