This thread problem is "fixed" in SP3, but you shouldn't use these threads at all.

Now you're able to "run" the Form tutorial_thread, withot the infolog message. Technically the thread works as expected.

but but but but but but

After leaving(closing) Axapta you'll get a Dr. Watson in 90% of all cases. Try it.

  - Run the tutorial
  - Start the thread
  - press Enter on the paue command to close the print window
  - close tutorial and stop thread
  - leave axapta
  - wait roundabout 1,5 seconds........

Think thats the reason why you OFFICIALLY shouldn't use thread's.

I've decided definitely NOT to use thread (because of the named strangeness)

The answer to my own question is, that in the info.init... something method, a check on clientType is performed in SP3. If the type is thread, an infolog window is now spawned. The clienttype thread is supported from SP2 and upwards but only implemented in this way in SP3.

Lars

      Hello,

When I run the form tutorial_Thread and click Start, I get this error:

      "(Thread: 65535) Infolog
"Object 'FormRun' could not be created".

But the error only occours in some applications. Why is that?

      Regards,
      Lars
