Hi Hilda,

only deleting the user bmssa normally doesent work because he is owner of several objects.
You hav to fix this orphaned user by using the following sp in the QueryAnalyzer.

Sp_change_users_login 'Update_one','bmssa','bmssa'

Links the specified user in the current database to login. login must already exist. user and login must be specified.

I think this helps.

Regards

Matthias

Betreff: [development-axapta] restore sql server, user bmssa problem

Hello everybody, happy New Year

We have the following problem; we did a transfer of DB SQL SERVER 2000 from one server to another, when it is doing the transfer it
says it has failed because de user bmssa in the destiny server doesn’t exist.

We have done the following we do a restore of the DB in another server that has another server name and when the restore finishes,
we try to enter AXAPTA and get an error because bmssa does not exist.  After the restore in the table SYSUSER we find the user bmssa
that has not been created in the new restored DB and in the security, login.  When we try to create bmssa he doesn’t let us.

What are we doing wrong?

Thank you for any help
