I think this is more of a config issue. You mentioned the presence of a
gnat-pro firewall but didn't mention how the system works without the
gnatbox installed. My guess, and this is proven over 5 different locations
with win2k clients, is that is it will again work OK.
If it doesn't, I
It works quite well Darrell. Thanks.
One note, while upgrading the CGI components, I was experiencing time outs
during the transfers. I had only selected one site for updates.
I had to go to /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.0/CPAN and rename the file Config.pm to
Config.pm.old, and during the next invocation
Mantis has much nicer support for attachments, and such. I use mantis
in-house along with keystone, which although not actively developed, has
some nice features.
The mantis config on SME is a snap as well...

Just to report three successes, I have applied the update, (which did not go
as smoothly as the last, it took two attempts) to three different machines
running SMEV5. All are working fine, without exception. I am sure that last
statement has just unleashed the fury of Hell upon me, but I figured
I am currently using dyndns.org, but I am not choosing it during the
configuration but using an hourly cron job instead, and the client util
(ipcheck.py) from their site. My /etc/cron.hourly/ipcheck looks like:
#run the first line on a new install, from /root and swap the line remarks
for normal
If you look through your older log files, I am confident you will see them
as well. This is definitely not horde/imp related at all.

Ever heard of the phrase 'The customer is always right' :P
Has anyone determined that this individual IS a customer? And if so, I for
one would appreciate anyone not starting a slamfest on either side. If
this individual is a customer, then pick up the phone and gritch in person
and quit
I had posted a wish list entry about just that sort of thing. I would like
to see the number of announced browsable share reduced to the minimum via
SAMBA, and Appletalk.

Thanks again, for the squidGuard package. I honestly didn't have any
problems I knew of with ver. 1, but I figured I could guinea pig my home
system for you. Works great, as advertised, without a reboot...

I second that opinion, I am using it since last week on a essg 4.1.2 at home
with no problems. It's not the most scientific testing, but the features
definitely work as advertised.

I installed this evening, and also did not reboot. No errors, and with just
a quick trip to sex.com that was denied, I would have to say it's a great
piece of work. Thanks.

Rather than open ports to a workstation, can your security plan allow FTP to
your server? If not, can you allow the users to use a shared internet file
storage, several options are at:

I wouldn't port forward an M$ product without a
search for the dynamic dns threads that are available. they detail how to do
what you are after. your new real domain becomes mongo.dyndns.org, or some
such. it works fine, but it does requires some reading of the previously
posted stuff.

Thanks for the great write-up on Gallery. I had just decided to start
installing it, after looking through sourceforge the other day, and choosing
that particular item. It's working as it's supposed to.
Great Job!

My congrats too. I really think you guys have a great product, and wish you
well. I don't know Mitel, but I hope they appreciate all the work you at
e-smith (and the volunteer developers) have done.

Trevor, you don't need to do much to access i-bays.
It sounds like you are not matching both username / passwords. If you make
an i-bay, and allow the user access to it either by group or everyone you
should be OK. It's only important at this point to match your win
loginpassword to your e-smith
stephen
you may or may not have a problem, but one thing that's confusing is the
statement that you copy files to other windows machines on the network.
Is this the slow part? you need to break apart the different situations.
Peer to Peer copies are not affected by the e-smith.

I have been waiting for this weekend to install the RAV trialware, and now I
am glad I waited, especially in light of recent activity. I was just dusting
off the Amavis email scanning solution notes I had, and will try that
instead. Does anyone have suggestions for email / content protection? All

I tried sqmgrlog, and did not like the output so much. Below is the ugly
output of the util sarg at http://web.onda.com.br/orso/sarg.html It does
have an rpm as well, that installs fine on 4.1.1 which I am using.
I had been demo'ing webtrends pro, for these reports, and didn't like
