Michiel,
I have my e-smith box behind an external DSL router, I used to have a
static IP but the ISP has moved the services to a dynamic IP. Bit of a
pain as I often am out on the road and need to check things like mail
etc...
I setup a subscription with freedns http://freedns.afraid.org

James,
I use webmin on all my systems, there are some things you need to be
careful of and you loose some of the settings when the system is
restarted but other than that it's a great tool.
A rebuild of Webmin that altered the /etc/e-smith/templates-custom would
be pretty cool.

Has anyone managed to setup e-smith with remote boot capabilities?
I was wondering how or what to use if I wanted to use the "boot from network
card" option found on most new systems with onboard network cards.
Basically I wanted to setup the e-smith server to operate as a boot device.

Has anyone done packet shaping on e-smith or SME?
We are a little worried about large mail packets taking out the systems
bandwidth
and causing other services to time out?

ADSL and E-Smith should go hand in hand and an easy way to install and setup
internal ADSL cards line the NI-200 from nokia or similar itex based cards
would be great.. Even better if there was an admin interface that enabled
the
setting up of the accounts and maybe on and off times.
I must admit
Are there may esmith users using webmin, I was wondering if it was worth
while starting a webmin project to alter the way it works and have it setup
and alter the templates and apply the changes rather than altering the
actual
etc files.
in addition clustering e-smith would be pretty cool :)

Has anyone had any luck setting up an e-smith box with an internal ADSL
itex chipset modem?.
I have drivers for the itex chipset for kernel 2.4.2, 2.2.16, 2.2.14.
Unfortunately
itex will not release the source so were stuck with the binary kernel.
the bin's were complied for RH7.1
I tried to set

Just an idea, and following a very stupid mistake I made about 1 hour ago :(
Was backing up a 300+Mb file from a server in the US to my local e-smith
server, download went well and this morning decided to clean up the US
server
and remove the old backup and all non critical files, logs etc..

Darrell,
Some time back I needed a similar type of system in a hurry
