Brandon, 1) Why is the telnet setup for no access by default? Because telnet is *really* nasty from a security point of view. Passwords with telnet are transmitted **in the clear**. Unecrypted. Open to sniffing. Bad. *Really* bad! ssh is really the solution you need. More info is at:
