Charlie, Will USB 2.0 devices work just fine, but at lower speed, on a USB 1.1 bus? I've had no problem connecting USB2.0 HDD's and CDRom drives to USB 1.1 hosts on Apple Mac OS X machines - they just run at the slower speeds. Also FYI - http://www.linux-usb.org/usb2.html all the best

Has anybody used USB tape backup devices? Anything good or bad to report? I tried one about a year ago and wasn't very happy with it. In a very general sense, it didn't seem to be a stable connection. That is, I'd receive errors from time to time that the system could not communicate with
