As a resident of rural Australia I am priveledged to be able to represent
the Open Source "Sahana" Humanitaran Aid application (www.sahana.lk/) at the
upcoming "Disasters ~ Prevention and Mitigation" conference to be held at
Harvard University, Massachusetts (www.hsph.harvard.edu/disasters/). One
outcome of digital inclusion is that participation in and representation of
global projects crossing international boundaries is possible - I find it
truly remarkable.

Enabling global roaming for the trip I was also surprised to learn from my
Telco (a week before travelling,) that CDMA wireless broadband notebook
adaptors do not work in the USA. Apparently I will be limited to short-range
WiFi hostpots or slow GSM for mobile connectivity. Are there other mobile
broadband options in the USA I should investigate?

If any other list members are attending the above conference it would be
fantastic to catch-up.

Regards,
Don Cameron
