For "narrow modes" like PSK31 there is no doubt...for pactor I or II some use the fictitious "Center Frequency", halfway between the two tones...but it is still unclear for me how to spot wide modes like MT63 or Olivia in a "standard" way. Would it be just "dial frequency", if the software dete

I submitted a patch to gMFSK which puts in a "center" button. When you press it, it uses hamlib to QSY such that the current selection moves to the center of the filter passband. On my K2, I have it at 1KHz. I would like to have it narrow the filter too, but hamlib doesn't support K2 filter

Ive done that. Mine drops off the first 500-600 cycles, then jumps up for a KC or so, then drops down again at the high end. Use a fairly wide filter (the one that was supplied) , and keep the dsp slope of the TS570 fairly wide too. Using a test similar to what you stated, I have been comple
