Want to go portable PSK with my Laptop and have a Rascal KIT RS232 interface for PSK. Anyone know of A CHEAP (AKA XYL radar invisible) USB-RS232 adapter that works (IE Providing the KEYING through RS232 I have now ) Or is there another route I can take? Scotty N7HJ

Scotty, I have done it with VOX. But The cheapest would be just a toggle switch. Some people at the APRPACK Yahoo group have reported that going portable with laptops has more RF and EMI trouble, both from RF getting into the audio through the shields, and hash from the laptop sound card gettin

I use MixW v2.15 with an FT-1000MP Mark V Field for digital modes operation. I built my own interface and for PTT triggering  it uses a 9 pin serial female jack from the rig interface to the 9 pin serial male plug on the old 733 mc computer.   Now I have purchased a new Dell Inspirion 220
