“impossible to re-create a signal when the QSB reaches the point”   That, my friend, is where you are mistaken. A number if these digital modes attempt to make it possible to receive signals when other modes fail. The Chip 64 mode uses spread spectrum just for this purpose.

I have a few thoughts on new modes and existing modes.   We do have several choices depending upon the conditions and the intended use. PSK31 works reasonably well for casual contacts where you are not too concerned with taking a few hits. To me it is narrow band, improved RTTY.   And whe

I just downloaded the Chip65 software if anyone wants to try around 7090 (I'm in Virginia).   I've noticed that the software crashes if any window gets in front of the waterfall. I get resourse allocation and other errors. I'll make a not of them next time.   Kevin K4VD   Kevin de

[digitalradio] First Chip 64 QSO

I used Chip 64 successfully today and had a  surprised QSO with W3OQ.  I say surprised QSO because I was actually just setting up Nino's  Chip software to work with my Microkeyer interface, Microkeyer keyed Chip but I was running 5 WPM and did not actually expect someone to come back to me
