I am not sure how SCAMP was brought into the discussion, but having been
a beta tester, I can concur that since the mode used the RDFT protocol
like used in Digtrx, the digital SSTV program.
Since amateur radio is a self policing service, I would greatly prefer
that all modes be required to be

I just built an APRS transmitter/locator,
the “PocketTracker”, that transmits GPS signals on 144.39mhz.
It’s a great little device.
Problem is that it doesn’t have
sufficient power to hit digipeaters. I need a small module that will
boost the power from 100mW to 1-2 Watts, any sugge
i checked patricks page, i also have his latest. they are not

I don't think so.
It seems to hi in the band for any Pactor operations.
What time (GMT) was this? I'll give a listen.

Anyone know if Pactor III is legal here in the US?
Was on 20 meters around 14.107 or so and a booming ~2.5 KHz signal
that could have only been Pactor III was cranking. Who knows what the
station was doing, gotta have a PTIII decoder program.
By the way, any hope of a Pactor III like decoder for

As far as I know, they are only part of MixW
. Are you saying that this isn't good since there is a charge for the software?
Pactor requires some very pricey hardware, much
more than the small charge for MixW. I happily paid the asking price for MixW
since I think

Looking back at my log, have tried to find how many times and the last

Hello Paul,
I'm speaking with Nick (Mixw) about the differences (in the specifications)
between Olivia and Contestia/RTTYM. When I'll issue these modes (after Mixw
will officially issue these ones not before!), I'll add the specifications
in my help file as usual, so they will be public. In all
are the specs published somewhere so they can be added to other programs
(e.g. gMFSK) ?

Hello to all,
I certainly put Contestia and RTTYM on Multipsk, but certainly not all the
possible combinations (40 by mode...thus 3x40=120 with Olivia and 120x2=240
possibilities if we considered the inversion), only the used ones or the
interesting ones ("Le trop est l'ennemi du bien" as we sa
I do not see Contestia or RTTYM in current version of MULTIPSK 3.11.
Some discussion going about all the various modes in the Yahoo
multipsk group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/multipsk/
Quote from Patrick the author of MULTIPSK.
On addition of more buttons for more modes
"Hello Chris, Pat, ON4CC
With the experimenting going on on 160 and 80 by K and VE stations
lately, I wonder if anyone has thought of using ALE to test paths and
then switch to Olivia or Contestia ?
The ALE freqs would be

03 3565000
Maybe the Bubba Net guys may want to try ALE soundings before their net

Had some success around 1808 khz last night with VE6BKB in AB. He was
great copy here. Since I have no 160 antenna and the internal FT-920
tuner is next to worthless, he only copied me when it decided to work.
If I recall, we were using olivia, 1KHZ, 8 or 16 tones, not sure which.

will these two modes be available as stand alones or will they be only
for users of mix ?
it would not be good to have another mode on the air that is pay only
like pactor III.
