Ok guys, I am lost! What is the raspy sounding 1,500+ kHz sigs around
14.097.5 and on the 30m band all over the 10.138+ area?

For several years I ran PSK on a TS940 through the phone patch jacks. I
didn't have a Phone Patch as such, just a Radio Shack "Audio Isolator"
($15) and a pair of RCA to 3.5mm Mono adapters. It worked great.

I bought an Emprex 22" from Fry's and had a major flicker/shimmy. The
unit worked great in the store repair shop but was terrible in the
shack. I took it back and got an Optiquest by 22" by ViewSonic and no
problems. The ViewSonic unit is about twice as heavy as the Emprex
