Would anyone know if it's possible to use less than 16 bit sampling
and still be able to decode digital modes such as RTTY and PSK?
I don't mean the sample rate, such as 11025 used in MixW, I mean the
digital sampling of the actual audio.

By mono, I don't mean mic input on the radio, I mean mono mic input on
a device that will be used to decode digital modes.
My computer sound card has stereo mic input. What if I used a sound
card that has only mono mic in? Would this affect the digital mode RX
and decoding at all?
Maybe I should have clarified more...
If I use a mono jack with a mono sound card, will I be able to decode
RTTY, PSK and the other digital modes?

Hello all,
Would digital modes such as RTTY, PSK31, Oliva, etc, work with a mono
microphone connection, or does it need stereo?
