Hello Steinar and the others, Due to the good results of WSPR with down to a - 33dB S/N Signal with good decoding, it would be a good thing to have a simple QSO mode added as well.
Like there is in the mode Wolf from KK7KA with the GUI of DL4YHF. http://www.scgroup.com/ham/wolf.html http://www.qsl.net/dl4yhf/wolf/ Use Wolf for beacon or as a simple QSO mode with 15 Characters with even auto answer back!. Mode Wolf is for made for LF and needs a stable signal and signal path. We measured here on the air that the Wolf signal will go down to -40/-44 dB S/N in 1 KHz at 10 bauds!. This takes some time (5 minutes or more) to get this deep in the noise with a good detection of the 15 characters. The TX signal is a bit wider then 6 Hz though hi. 73 Paul, pa0ocd --- In digitalradio@yahoogroups.com, Steinar Aanesland <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > > No I don't think so, WSPR was never meant to be a QSO mode. > > 73 de LA5VNA Steinar > > > > > > Omar Shabsigh skrev: > > > > Hi > > > > Anyway to make WSPR available not just sort of a beacon but for > > QSO'ing, please??? > > > > 73 de > > > > Omar YK1AO > > > > >
