I changed my mind about a major upgrade to my PC system, was going
to get a new desktop with Vista to work in the shack, I gave my
previous shack PC to my son to replace his dead one.
I took a chance and bought a refurbished one via Ebay, so far so
good. I will not mention the company here
I also just picked up a dell 2.4G with 4 USB ports and
2 DB9 ports for just $134.00. Had it about 8 weeks now and
no problems. Running XP.
May look for a replacement for my 500Mhz
DOS 6.22 machine soon.

same here in the St. Louis area. That is why all 7 of my
computers are Dell's. Just punch in the tag number and
their site will tell you what drivers you need. Load the OS and
drivers and your done. Since you can now load XP on any
number of computers it's no problem.

About the time vista came out I read that one could
now load XP on as many units as they wish. So with
that I got the XP upgrade from best buy. Last time I
reloaded it on a computer was last week. this has got
to be 6th time this one copy has been loaded on a different
