Contest rules to "DAY OF THE PORTUGUESE NAVY" 2007

With the support of the Cultural Commission of Navy and integrated in
the commemorations of the Day of the Navy, the NRA has the pleasure to
announce the annual edition of the contest "DAY OF THE PORTUGUESE
NAVY". This competition is opened to all the national and foreign
radioamadores in days 5 and 6 of May of 2007.

SSB and CW modes.
Duration of 24-hour with beginning to 1500H UTC of 5 of May and end to
1500H UTC of 6 of May of 2007, in the bands of 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10
meters inside of the segments and frequencies recommended for the IARU
for competitions.

PSK31 mode
Duration of 6 hours with beginning to 1500H UTC of 5 of May and end to
2100H UTC of 5 of May of 2007, in the bands of 20, 15 and 10 meters
inside of the segments and frequencies recommended for the IARU for
competitions.

Categories
Only single operador (excluding CQ5MGP that will be multioperator).

Interchange
RS(T) followed of serial number starting in 001 (use only one serial
for all the contest).

Points
To add points, in all QSO's at least one of the intervening stations
have to be in Portuguese territory (CT, CT3, CU or CTn/, CUn/).
Contacts made with stations that do not send log counts one point.

For stations in Portuguese territory:
   Contact with CQ5MGP
      In 40 and 80 mts: points = 8, multiplier = 6
      In 10, 15 and 20 mts: points = 10, multiplier = 5
   Contact with key stations
      In 40 and 80 mts: points = 6, multiplier = 4
      In 10, 15 and 20 mts: points = 7, multiplier = 3
   Contact with stations in Portuguese territory
      In 40 and 80 mts: points = 4, multiplier = 2
      In 10, 15 and 20 mts: points = 5, multiplier = 1
   Contacts with stations out of the Portuguese territory
      In 40 and 80 mts: points = 5, multiplier = 1
      In 10, 15 and 20 mts: points = 4, multiplier = 2

For stations out of the Portuguese territory:
   Contact with CQ5MGP
      In 40 and 80 mts: points = 10, multiplier = 5
      In 10, 15 and 20 mts: points = 8, multiplier = 6
   Contact with key stations
      In 40 and 80 mts: points = 7, multiplier = 3
      In 10, 15 and 20 mts: points = 6, multiplier = 4
   Contact with stations in Portuguese territory
      In 40 and 80 mts: points = 5, multiplier = 1
      In 10, 15 and 20 mts: points = 4, multiplier = 2

Multipliers
Each worked prefix count as multiplier only once for band and mode.
The same station can be worked in the same band and mode every 60 minutes.
The multiplier only counts if the worked station also works CQ5MGP.

Final score
Sum of points multiplied for the sum of multipliers.

Awards and rewards
To be accepted in the competition and to get award/reward the
participants have to do at least:
- one contact with CQ5MGP
- 80 contacts (in SSB and CW)
For PSK31 do not exist an established minimum. They are attributed
rewards to the three first ones classified of each modality (CW, SSB
and PSK31). These rewards are not accumulated.

Awards ceremony
It will have place in date and place to divulge opportunely in
www.nra.pt and for email to the competitors.

LOG's
It must includ: Sent serial number, Date, UTC, Callsign, RS(T),
Received serial number, Mode and Band.
Send to [EMAIL PROTECTED] until 1st of June of 2007 with attached file in
format ASCII (TXT), or in format ADIF being the name of the
corresponding attachement the callsign of station (i.e. cq5mgp.txt or
cq5mgp.adi). Also include the postal address for sending Award or
Reward.

Declassifications
Any participant station can be declassified case if it verifies
breaking of the Regulation or unsporting behavior.

Final disposals
Radio amateurs agrees to be bound by this announcement, and by the
decisions of the Contest Committee, acting for NRA. The committee can
declare award absent any mode with less than 5 participants, but given
award of 1st qualified per mode, in case this happens. The awards and
certificates not delivered at the award ceremony, will remain
available to collect, and later they will be sent by post office for
the supplied dwellings.
