Almost certainly ALE. Did it sound like this: http://hflink.com/beta/ALEtest_allcall_AMDtext1.wav ? Scott --- In digitalradio@yahoogroups.com, "Dave Sparks" wrote: > > Is sounds like it MIGHT be an ALE sounding. That was one of the main 20m > freqs, but it was eventually moved to 14.109.000.

Dave, were you in LSB at the time? Reason I ask, if you centered that signal on USB it would 3k up from your LSB frequency, being about 3.585. Assuming USB, that area is near a QRZ frequency* for ALE (automatic link establishment.) It's wider and seems to fit your description. Check out a vi

Hello Bill It was around 14.075 give or take... what surprised me most was that as the signal started on a frequency it would start (or a similar signal)also about 1/4 of a second later about 600 or 700 hz higher... I'll check about jt65 and see if it is it... Thank you and 73's Francois VE

Hello Francois, What frequency was it on? If it was on or about 14.070 USB dial frequency, it was most likely JT65A. JT65A sounds like very very slow DominoEX. 73, Bill N9DSJ --- In digitalradio@yahoogroups.com, "Francois Rochon" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > I am listening on 20 meters to a v

I haven't looked at the picture but will mention that a signal from a switching regulator power supply can look a lot like PSK. The carrier is a multiple of the switching frequency and is phase modulated at a 120 Hz rate.
