Job Title: Wireless Survey Engineer Location: Dallas, TX Duration: 6 months on going project Taxterms: C2C Job Summary: The successful candidate will work as a member of a wireless engineering group (Mobility Team) to plan, coordinate and perform complex enterprise wireless network site surveys. The candidate will have solid experience working with large enterprise deployments of advanced wireless infrastructure, and will demonstrate enthusiasm to provide leadership to other field engineers. The Wireless Engineer must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be client-focused, service driven and able to multitask. This is a position that requires cross-functional duties with pre-sales engineering support, consulting/professional services delivery and post-installation technical support. The Wireless Survey Engineer will provide technical pre-sales (predictive survey) and post-sales survey assistance for prospects and clients. *Work Location:* Position will be located in our Dallas office. *Travel to customer location/job site in or out of state will be required*. *Responsibilities*: - Perform passive, active and predictive wireless site surveys and assessments - Have strong to expert level understanding of Ekahau, Air Magnet and Spectrum Analysis survey tools - Work closely with Wireless Solutions Architect, Layer One engineers and customers to review WLAN designs and AP installation strategies - Able to effectively prioritize tasks in high-pressure environments Communicate and collaborate within a cross-functional team and other related departments - Validate the impact of AP changes on RF network behavior and performance prior to deployment - Report documentation creation, implementations and process adherence *Summary of Qualifications: Technical and Educational: * - BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications or at least 5 years of high-level network planning and design experience - Expertise and certifications related to wireless technologies such as CWNE/CCNA-W/CMNA preferred - Knowledge of wireless engineering tools such as OmniPeek, and Cognio. - Capable of RF troubleshooting methodologies and techniques - Experience in designing and implementation of wireless 802.11a/b/g/n - Experience in secure mobility RF design, and voice/video over WLAN design - Knowledge of enterprise based wireless components - Strong understanding of general network security Special Requirements This position requires limited short-term travel assignments with short notice.
