Recent job history should include the use of Framework Manager, Report Studio and Transformer at a minimum. Education/Experience • Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. *MBA or other related advanced degree given preference. * • Minimum of 10+ years of broad, hands-on Cognos experience required Essential Skills and Knowledge • Must be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Cognos 10 tools, including but not limited to: Framework Manager – must know how to create relational models using best practices; DMR experience a plus • Report Studio – this includes creating new reports, maintaining existing reports and troubleshooting performance and design-related issues • Transformer – create new models and cubes using a variety of data sources available Cognos 10 • Metric Studio and Event Studio experience a plus, but not required • Strong SQL skills are required for development of custom SQL and reporting views • Good verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail are essential • Must be able to work independently and manage one’s time effectively • Basic mentoring skills are necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback to end-users not familiar with Cognos Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Interact with business unit users for requirement gathering and development process • Use Cognos Framework Manager to build models, packages and publish packages • Use Cognos Report Studio to develop standard and complex reports • May be required to use Cognos Transformer to create cubes based on business requirements and create the related drill-through reports • Act as point-of-contact for Cognos consumers within the business unit; coordinate with in-house BI team for deployments and central communications • Mentor other developers for support of newly created reports • Create technical specifications and documentation • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English; may be required to make presentations to end-users at all levels within the business Thanks for taking your valuable time in reading my email Regards, Prem Kumar Innocore Solutions Inc., p...@innocoresolutions.com Desk: 940.202.8513 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Hot List" group.
