If interested, please send me a copy of your resume, your contact details. *Cisco Network Engineer Architect Level(15+Yrs Exp)* *Waltham, MA* *Long Term* *Description:* The Senior network Engineer Architect under the leadership of the Manager of Network Administration will provide daily production support and assist in the implementation of the Authority’s data-communication strategy, including the coordination, movement, placement and installation of data communications equipment, ensuring timely and orderly resolution of Business Unit and Information Technology needs and issues in an effort to meet operational objectives. The Senior Network Architect will be responsible for: Contributing to the efficient operation of the Authority’s Data-Communications network by monitoring activity to ensure timely identification of problems; Effectively communicating with Data-Communication vendors to facilitate the resolution of circuit or hardware problems; producing clear, concise and timely documentation of all network problems; Identifying and resolving common hardware problems through individual repair effort on connectors and/or cables; By installing, maintaining, configuring and troubleshooting network backbone hardware such as router, switches and Wireless and working with limited supervision by ensuring a stable and consistent data-communications environment and be able to be on call, on an as needed basis. *MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: * Cisco certifications and five (5) years of practical experience in designing, installing and supporting information networks (OSI Layer 1 and Up) with the ability to work under pressure, responding to system failures or specialized department needs; Practical working knowledge of data communication protocols including IP Routing Protocol (TCP/IP), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP); Hands on configuration experience with Cisco Routers and Wireless; The ability to configure networks utilizing multiple routing protocols including: Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Enhanced Gateway Routing Protocol (EGRP), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) configuration, the ability to use Word, Excel and Visio to document networks effectively, communicate with customers, employees and vendors; Have excellent customer service, negotiation, conflict resolution, communication and presentation skills.
