*Primary Responsibilities:*
The Sr. System Administrator will plan, develop, implement and manage
networking and server-based solutions in order to a meet the business needs
of the SEC. The primary services handled by the System Administration team
include:
Server hardware troubleshooting and configuration
Operating systems troubleshooting and configuration for both Microsoft and
VMware
Disaster recovery planning and testing, including backup and restore;
remote software installations and upgrades
Asset management
Virus protection
Network performance monitoring
Network hardware troubleshooting and configuration
Messaging services, including email;
Network security including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance procedures
Internet connectivity, including firewall and VPN services
The Sr. Network Administrator must be able to manage network services from
the planning phase through the implementation and management phases. He or
she will interface with other team members, management, and end-users on a
regular basis. After hours availability is required in order to respond to
emergencies, and to perform system maintenance that cannot be completed
during normal business hours.
*Qualifications:*
BA/BS in CS, MIS or equivalent experience
Minimum of four years experience supporting the following is preferred:
- Server OS: Microsoft Windows 2000 / 2003 / 2010 Active Directory
- E-Mail: Exchange 2003 / 2010
- Desktop OS: Windows 2000 Pro, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8
- Backup: Symantec Backup Exec 11 or higher ; EMC Avamar
- Anti-Virus: Symantec Enpoint Anti-Virus 11 or higher; Mcafee ESM
- Deployment tools: SCCM
Minimum of four years experience installing, configuring, administration
and managing
- Storage: EMC & Sun StorageTek SAN (Unisphere, Centerra, Celerra,
VNX/Clariion,)
- Virtualization: VMWare ESX, ESXi server
Experience with configuring and troubleshooting server hardware (Dell and
HP preferred)
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification preferred
A Highly self-motivated individual who has the ability to work
independently as well as in a team environment.
Ability to handle multiple tasks while prioritizing and delivering results
on time.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to think strategically with technical vision
Proven project management and leadership skills
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Solarwinds, Checkpoint FW-1, Secure Remote VPN, Cisco Networking
Appliances, MS-SQL, and Oracle 10g. F-5 Loadbalancer with ASM, BlueCoat,
Proxy, Riverbed WAN Optimizer
