This role will drive the implementation of test automation capabilities for their growing online business presence. This will begin as a 6-month contract. * ****In-person interview required, Southern California candidates highly preferred**** In this position, the candidate will have an opportunity to work as part of a fast paced agile development team, taking a lead role in designing and developing an automated testing framework which can scale across multiple product lines. Once developed, you will take a lead role in training other teams on testing automation strategies. You will work with leadership to implement software development metrics related to code quality, coverage and release readiness. This is a great opportunity for a strong Automation Engineer looking to take their career to the next level by coaching, mentoring and leading others in the move towards more automated testing within the organization. *The ideal candidate will possess the following experience: * * Strong experience executing within an agile environment. * 4+ years creating automated tests (Selenium, Cucumber) within the software development life cycle. * Highly proficient in C# and/or Java. * Strong experience with writing complex SQL statements for back end database testing. * Demonstrated experience with continuous integration tool stacks and approaches. * Ability to work well with people and be both highly motivated and motivating. * Enjoy solving complex technical problems. * Passionate for delivering stable and highly-responsive products. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills *Preference given to candidates with these additional skills/experience: * * Familiarity with HTML5, JavaScript and AngularJS would be a plus. * Prior practice instituting test-driven development (TDD) would be a plus. * Experience as a Scrum Master would be a plus.
