Personally, I have had (and heard) bad recent personal experiences with both
Dell (variable hardware, chosen for lowest cost and differing from machine to
machine) and HP (lots of problems getting Linux/Fedora, to be specific, working
properly.) The latter has been a particular headache, because
I'm retiring from full-time teaching CS courses at Bentley for the past 32
years, and have been invited to teach a grad course in the fall as an emeritus
Professor. I am curious as to what other Colleges and Universities in the
Boston area offer as compensation for Emeritus Professors and Adjunc
I've been running Fedora 14 on my Acer Aspire for a number of years. There was
an initial problem with the widescreen display (the default always seems to be
4 X 3. Does ANY laptop still have a 4 X 3 screen???) But there was a website
that addressed the problem and I've had no trouble since. On
Jerry, I had a similar problem with a Samsung S3 phone. If you're passing thru
Logan, there is an audio-video store inside the security area that sells a part
that worked for me. We tested it in the store. It's actually made by Samsung,
but doesn't seem to be available in the phone stores or at
le/dp/B005MR82GA
Is it the same one.

As a textbook author, I agree. When my editor sends out my work for technical
review, I'm only interested in seeing that my manuscript is accurate
throughout, and correct in every detail. Other than that, I would like to see
suggestions for technical improvement, perhaps a different approach to
Kurt, don't forget the new vacuum tube chips that are coming out soon.
