For Boston television you actually point your antenna at Needham, because that's where the broadcasts actually come from. Channel 68 (WBPX) used to be an exception before the digital transition - their analog transmissions came from the Prudential Center - but now they're in Needham like everybody

Coax is shielded, so it won't pick up any signal directly. But my understanding is that if the inside wire on a coax cable is grounded, it can use whtever it is grounded *to* as a big loop antenna and the coax will then transmit the signal. I wonder where the other end of his piece of cable is? ___
