OpenOffice.org seems to have peaked somewhere between 4 and 7 years
ago. Long before the buyout of Sun by Oracle I noticed a marked decline
in emails sent to OOo discuss. I am still subscribed to OOo discuss,

It's inevitable that the LO-Discuss list will be very busy so soon
after the creation of TDF. The decline in traffic on the OOo-Discuss
list doesn't mean that interest in the software was waning, the
traffic on the OOo-users list is still healthy.
