I expect there to be a healthy dose of questions regarding my needs -
don't hesitate to ask them privately or, if the list tolerates
exploration in application design or possibilities, publicly.
Also, I know how much I'd be unwilling to pay, but no idea how much the
above
have the least priority -- it doesn't need
to be pretty or functional or perfectly designed. The crap I don't know
how to do is jQuery, DOM, and AJAX - I can learn quickly from existing
code that does what I want, but starting from scratch, I just don't have
the time for it.

d it have made a difference if I just said
"this is a work for hire, I own the code" and then have released it
under the GPL /without/ having told everyone, and been open about it?
I don't want to drive this thread down the
path of licensing, but am I missing somet

Just an FYI folks: jQuery 1.0.1 has just been committed to the
development version of Drupal, and will be available as our primary
engine come next release (being 4.8/5.0 -- we're still undecided).

No, your personal blog doesn't need to be accessible because it doe
y needs, if you can't bookmark the results of an
AJAX application, it's not ready for prime time. Note that
this is the /exact/ metric I applied to "good" Flash apps.

I don't care enough to fix it immediately -- about 60% of my visitors
are not using IE, and the pages degrade nicely enough.
If you can eyeball the fault immediately, lemme know ;)

The point of my exercise was NOT to use images. I am perfectly fine with
users of IE not seeing a visual clue that they can sort the headers.

Will I someday fix the error that is causing the jQuery elements to not
work at all in IE? Yes. Do I plan to stop everything I'm doing to do so,
when the data itself, and not its interaction, is most important? No.

Brian - I'd like to potentially use and/or ship this with a Drupal
module I've been working on which is a project management tool. Would
you be willing to license your code under the GPL, such that I can
include it within the Drupal CVS repository?
